Data Analysis with R & Python
Hands-on health data analysis in R and Python: import, cleaning, visualisation and statistical modelling, with reproducible workflows and AI coding assistants.
A hands-on course from programming basics to a complete analysis of health data, learning R and Python side by side in Positron. Participants import and clean data with tidyverse and pandas, describe it and build tables, chart it with ggplot2 and matplotlib, run statistical tests, fit the regression models common in epidemiology (linear, logistic, Poisson) and produce reproducible reports with Quarto. Every session has a practice exercise on the sample dataset, with an AI coding assistant and a step for checking its results.
The main reference is the Vietnamese edition of the Epi R Handbook prepared by BIODAS. The final product is a Quarto report that takes one health dataset from raw data to conclusions.
